Luis has been the Director of the Private Office of the Minister for Economic Affairs, and General Manager of Small and Medium Businesses in the Industry and Energy Department.
As Executive Chair of the Banco de Crédito Industrial he took part in the financing process for the industrial restructuring in Spain and in the promotion of business initiatives approaching re-industrialisation.
He has been responsible for the department of Banca de Inversiones of the Grupo Argentaria as Executive Chair of the Banco Exterior Internacional and the Banco de Negocios Argentaria.
Following the merger of Argentaria with BBV, he went on to become the Managing Director of Banco de Crédito Local, subsidiary of the BBVA.
He has also been member of other Board of Directors such as Banco Hipotecario de España, Fuerzas Eléctricas de Cataluña (FECSA), Banco Internacional de Andorra, VICASA (Grupo Cristalería Española).
He has been Director General of the Fundación Fernando Abril Martorell and is a member of the Management Committee of the Information Society. He is currently Director of Banco de Crédito Local and Chair of its Auditing Committee, as well as independent advisor in several companies.
César Molinas has a great deal of experience in the financial world. He is a founding partner of the Multa Paucis consultancy and currently, amongst other duties, provides services to the hedge fund Providentia Capital.
Previously he was Director of Management at Merrill Lynch (London), responsible for asset investment strategies and European fixed income products.
He worked for the Spanish Government during four years, mainly in subjects relating to the European Union. At this time he was General Director of Planning and responsible for the management of Structural Funds (3,000 million euros annually).
He has been Director of the National Market and Securities Committee and of numerous Spanish public companies, including RENFE, Correos y Telégrafos.
Before these companies, he dedicated more than ten years to research and university teaching.
He is Bachelor of Mathematics and Doctor of Economics (Universidad de Barcelona), MSc in Econometrics and Economic Mathematics (The London School of Economics and Political Science).
He has published many books and articles in specialist Economy and Mathematics publications.
Juan María has developed a long career in the financial sector. Since 2006 he takes part in the Quantica Inversores Group, where he acts as CEO and specialized in the strategic and financial services to Family and Institutional Groups.
At present he is Member of the Board of BBVA Elcano Empresarial SRC, Maltisa SICAV and Quantop SICAV.
Previously he was the Investment Manager at Grupo Torreal and Member of the Board of other companies participated by Torreal. He was also Financial Director at Mercedes Benz and worked in the Banco de Progreso.
He holds a degree in Economics and Business Science (ICADE) and has a Master in Financial Management (Instituto de Empresa – Madrid).
